Gombe State to distinguish it from its capital city Gombe, is located in northeastern Nigeria. and is one of the country’s 36 states. The boundaries of the state roughly correspond to those of the Tangale-Waja Chiefdom and Gombe Emirate, a traditional state. The state is chiefly inhabited by indigenous tribes which Fulani constitute the majority amongst the indigenous tribes and other minority tribes.
