Sapele is a town in Delta State and also a Local Government Area. Sapele is occupied by the Okpe people. It is under the jurisdiction of the Orodje of Okpe kingdom. Sapele has the major Ports in Nigeria. Its industries include the processing of timber, rubber, and palm oil, as well as furniture, tamarind balm and footwear manufacturing.
