Bauchi is the capital of Bauchi state. Located on the Northern edge of the Jos Plateau. Bauchi also one of its Local Government area. Bauchi state has twenty Local Government Areas. Majority of its indigenes are Fulanis and muslim. The name is derived from a hunter called Baushe.
